• Memory-Hard Key Derivation: Passwords are protected via scrypt (N=32768, r=8, p=1) combined with an HMAC-SHA256 server pepper and AES-256-GCM encrypted salts.
• Cryptographic Subpoena Resistance: Because plaintext account passwords never exist on our servers, Natrium cannot bypass your password envelope to read your private correspondence.

Unlike modern email wrappers that outsource email delivery to third-party relays like SendGrid, Mailgun, or Amazon SES (exposing every outbound message to an external vendor), Natrium runs its own native Direct-MX Mail Transfer Agent.

When you send an email from @natrium.sh or your custom domain, our MTA resolves the recipient's DNS MX records directly, decrypts outbound attachment blobs strictly in volatile memory for MIME assembly, signs the message with a 2048-bit RSA DKIM signature, and delivers it directly over TLS 1.3 to the destination mail server.
